Preparations Begin in Moscow for the International Conference on Alternative Energy

R.I.M. Porter Novelli has for the second time been chosen as the organizer for the International Conference “Alternative Sources of Energy for Large Cities”. The event, which will take place on October 21 & 22, is being held at the initiative of Town Hall in the Moscow Government building on the New Arbat street.

This year is the fourth year of the conference, and it will be devoted to prospects for the use, and experience of introducing new sources of energy, to questions of “ecologization” of construction and transport complexes, and to legislative regulation of the use of alternative sources of energy.

Making presentations at the conference will be scholars S.M. Aldoshin, Ya.B. Makarov, and N.S. Danilevich, who are all specialists in the field of large-scale and alternative energy. Foreign scholars are also expected to take part in the event, representatives of ecological foundations, and also senior management of leading automotive and fuels concerns, and oil-refining and petrochemical companies.

Leaders of the automotive industry Toyota and Mercedes as part of the conference will present their latest developments in the field of ecological automobile manufacturing. On the square opposite the building in which the conference will take place cars with hybrid engines will be exhibited, which run on alternative types of energy. The traditional rally of “eco-mobiles” is to take place in the historical center of the town. At a specialized exhibition the latest developments in the sphere of alternative energy and ecological technologies will be on show.

R.I.M. Porter Novelli will be providing PR support for all events of the conference, supervising the work of the call-center of the organizing committee, and organizing the exhibition and the rally.

More than a thousand participants took part in the last conference, including from the UK, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Bulgaria, China, Ukraine, and Belarus, as did more than 300 organizations from 15 countries.
